A handy compact electric lock, designed for a cabinet, safe or door please check the size. The latch locks mechanically when the buckle closes on the lock and releases when voltage is applied to the solenoid. The 2nd wire JST SM male connector can be connected to a limit switch for feedback.
Solenoids are basically electromagnets: they are made of a big coil of copper wire with an armature a slug of metal in the middle. When the coil is energised, the slug is pulled into the centre of the coil.
Instructions
1 Connect the Red wire to positive and the Black wire to negative.
2 Turning the current on will unlock and turning it off will lock the mechanism.
