IMPORTANT NOTE 3 of 5: If you have an existing jimmy-proof deadbolt lock, you can retrofit your existing key cylinder into the new jimmy-proof deadbolt, but whenever you use your key you will need to lock again before taking out the key once you are inside and manually unlock with the knob of the August to get the App back in sync because the key cylinder and the thumb turn work independently on the deadbolt. If you do not already have a key cylinder, you can select one of the “w/ key” options to purchase one.

IMPORTANT NOTE 4 of 5: Options “Repl.kit” include only the adapter and does not include the jimmy-proof deadbolt lock or mounting hardware. Please note that this option is only for previous buyers of the full kit as other jimmy-proof deadbolt locks may not be compatible with this adapter.

IMPORTANT NOTE 5 of 5: Option “SE15361 adapter-only” is the August WiFi Smart Lock adapter plate only customized for the Segal SE 15361 and does not include any rim lock or mounting hardware. Please note that other jimmy-proof deadbolt locks are likely not compatible with this adapter.

This keyless Jimmy-Proof Deadbolt Lock and Adapter enables your August Wi-Fi Smart Lock 4th Gen or August Smart Lock Pro 3rd Gen to lock and unlock the all-metal brass & stainless steel deadbolt rim lock for surface mounting on front doors, patio doors and other types of doors see list below. The entire setup is installed in a few minutes with as little as a Phillips screwdriver to drive 4 2” screws into your door and 2 2-1/2” screws into your doorjamb and optionally another 2 1” screws, into the side of the doorjamb. Unlike standard deadbolt locks, it does not require cutting a through-hole into the door, so it is also ideal for rented homes. The jimmy-resistant, cross-bolt locking design prevents prying the door away from the frame. The absence of a key cylinder makes this lock physically completely inaccessible from the outside for the highest level of security as it is, obviously, impossible to drill or pick this lock while there are no physical keys that can be lost, stolen or duplicated. Always make sure to replace the batteries on time to prevent locking yourself out. The August App can be set to automatically lock to always have total peace of mind.

Comes with steel angled strike and all necessary mounting hardware including extra long, heavy duty screws for the strike.

An August Smart Keypad installed outside your door will give keyless access whenever you do not have your smartphone or smartwatch on you. Moreover, with personal, temporary codes you can give one-time access to guests and keep track of who entered and when.
