Precision replacement gear for the Nuki Smart Lock Ultra, made from Nylon PA6/66. Sold as a spare part to restore mechanical function. Nylon offers higher toughness compared to PLA/PETG/PC/PA-CF, but cannot necessarily compensate for existing defects in the lock mechanism.

Why this part?

Unfilled Nylon PA6/66 was chosen because in practice it is significantly tougher than PLA/PETG and tends to fail more ductile at fine weak points; glass- or carbon-filled variants increase stiffness and wear resistance but can lead to more brittle breaks at thin ribs. No material experiments are really needed here, as the original gear is made from glass-fiber reinforced nylon, which is why it breaks quickly. We simply remove the fibers and slightly widen the ribs.

If problems remain after installation: check the cylinder mechanism, clean and lubricate appropriately, or contact a professional. Otherwise, I can also print a full gear at your own risk, just inquire.
