If you live in a New York City apartment the door knob and lock setup probably looks familiar. This is a mortise style lock that’s typically incompatible with most smart locks — until now.
This custom-designed adapter allows you to retrofit your August Wi-Fi Smart Lock onto a traditional mortise lock, like the ones commonly found in NYC and other older buildings. Specifically tested on Marks mortise locksets, this adapter bridges the gap between modern smart tech and legacy door hardware.
